Pre-Installation Preparation

1. Tools and Materials

Tools: Adjustable wrench, Teflon tape, screwdriver, needle-nose pliers, waterproof tape. The adjustable wrench is used to tighten or loosen nuts; Teflon tape prevents leaks at joints; the screwdriver is used to install parts with screws; needle-nose pliers are used to handle small parts; waterproof tape enhances sealing.

Materials: New basin faucet, matching inlet pipe, rubber gasket. Ensure the purchased faucet matches the basin's hole diameter and installation method, the inlet pipe length is appropriate, and the rubber gasket provides cushioning and sealing.

2. Environmental Inspection

Check if there is enough space under the basin to install the faucet's inlet pipe and mounting components. If space is limited, some items may need to be cleared or adjusted beforehand.

Check the location and connections of the hot and cold water pipes for damage or leaks. If any problems are found, repair the pipes before installing the faucet.
